Answer: Spray tan will not do anything permanent to the scars, so no, it will not fade them. However, most scars blend in better when you have a spray tan on.
The scar that I have on my knee is quite large and it tends to go lighter really quick, so when that happens I apply some self tanner on it with a q-tip. That gives it a boost of color again and it blends in.
Try a bit of self tan on your scars and see how they react, and it will be exactly how they will hold color when you go for a spray tan.
