What if i leave my 2 hr tan on for 4 hours?

Question: Is it bad to leave the tan (2hr mainly) on for longer than 2 or 8 hours?? Is there any side effects etc?

Answer: I am not sure what " 2 hour tan" you are talking about. If you are talking about spray tan or self tan, most of those need AT LEAST 4 hours to develop fully. Some take up to 24 hours to take a full effect.
So, the rules are: AT LEAST 1-2 hours before you even start considering a shower, preferably 5-8 hours. Optimally leave it on overnight and have a shower in the morning. Sometimes that is not possible if the tan has a lot of bronzer in it because it will get all over your bed sheets and might stain them (most of it washes out easily).

There is no problem of leaving it on for longer time, it will get to a certain stage and them it will not develop any further, so you cannot overdo it.

It will also not poison you if you leave it any longer than that :-)

2hour tan
by: Organic tan

Hi, 2 hour tans/rapid tans are great! Most of my customers leave their tan on for at least 2-3hours. Depends on what brand you use, you may have to leave on for a little bit longer to get a colour that suits you.
I prefer A.S.A.P, Organic's and Custom2hour tan.
Hope this helps.:)

2 hour tans

There are many two hour tans on the market now, I have at least 5 in my salon that I use some have a better base than others, Try black magic or sun fx rapid. You can also use any of the darkest base tans and leave them on for 2 to 4 hours and achieve exactly the same results and have a much larger range of colours. Hope this helps.

Boshena's comment: It sounds great, I will have to find one and try it.

Is the colour actually ok with the Naked Tan, does it turn yellowish?? Or a nice light brown?

Boshena's comment:
I can't help you there, since I have never had Naked Tan, but maybe you can give us your opinion of it after YOU had it done?

It is always safe to go for the lightest shade if you are having your first spray tan just to see how your skin reacts to this particular solution. It is always better to have too little rather than too much, especially before an important event.

2hr spray tanning
by: Shondel

Hello, I know that there is a spray tan called Naked Tan that you only have to leave on for 2 hours and then you can shower and your done. it looks really natural and if you want you can sleep with it on but its better if you shower after 2 hours and then go to bed and it doesn't get all over your sheets and pillow like all the other tans do. it doesn't change the colour if you leave it on longer. and the tan is an all natural one. its really popular in sydney all the salons have it cause its just 2hrs but I found it really hard to find a salon on the gold coast with Naked Tan?? You have to have your tan done before you go on holidays if you want a 2hr tan as its hard to find up there. and the colour is gorgeous, my favourite tan and I've been tanning for 3years! if anyone knows where you can get a Naked Tan on the gold coast let me know before I go on my holiday at christmas!! Shondel x

Naked Tan
by: Glitzy Glam

I'm a mobile spray tanner and live on The Gold Coast and I use Naked Tan. It's an awsome colour, lasts for at least 7 days some times 10 on me if I moisterise once a day. I have been using it for a year now and everyone loves it. The bronzer is also a lovely colour, has a beautiful coconut scent and sprays on a nice and natural looking not black and dirty so you wont look like you've obviously had a spray tan. You can still do your shopping and not have to hide at home until you shower. I use the darkest colour and leave it on a little longer to get an even darker shade, but this is not essential to get a dark look. Most Gold coasters just like to be as dark as possible. Ring me next time you on the Gold Coast and you can find out how nice it is. Liza 0406 183 698
