If you are applying fake tan yourself make sure that you apply less tan to elbows, knuckles, knees, ankles and toes. if you apply the same amount of tan to the places above they will go orange and it wont look nice.

Actually, if you rub lotion on to the areas (fingers, ankles, elbows, knees, arm pits) before you apply to tan, you can evenly distribute it and the tan with turn out fine.
