Spray Tan Booths Comparison - Are They All The Same?
Until recently, this page contained spray tan booths comparison, where I called all of them by name, but I one of the manufacturers did not like my opinion, and I received a threatening letter. That is why I will only call MagicTan by name, because they don't mind being named - most probably because I really like their booths, so I write nice things about them:)But let's face it - when you are buying an expensive piece of equipment like a spray tan booth, you want to do your homework really, really well.

I tested few companies' booths, and I encourage you to do the same. Nothing beats personal experience, but if you would like to find out how I rate those spray tan machines, than read on……. When I decided to get a spray tan booth, I checked out one of the leading brands first. I believed that this company would have the best machines, because they advertise very heavily. I was quite impressed because I got a really nice tan out of it. True, the booth was an ugly (in my opinion)fully enclosed box, and although I am not claustrophobic, to walk into a black hole was quite daunting. To add to this the startling noise of the air compressor and the large amount of mist that almost chocked me (you are totally unprepared for it the first time) took a bit of pleasure out of the experience, but overall it was quick and painless. First time in ANY booth is quite a surreal experience I think. I was ready to buy this machine, but the thing that really scared me was the price. It was astronomical. That is why I started to look further. I went online, and found what looked like a really inventive, energetic company. When I rang them, I spoke to James (CEO of company), and I instantly felt comfortable with him. This was not just selling, the guy has a passion! He directed me to one of the salons where I could try MagicTan on my own skin.I have never seen one of their spray tan booths up to this point, but when it comes to spray tan booths comparison it was very different than any one of other manufacturers'. This was true elegance. The booth was clear (and it was not till I had my own salon that I realized the importance of this – about every 4th client was claustrophobic -I had 3 clients hop out of the booth, because they could not stand an enclosed chamber filled with mist). The booth was smaller, filled with light, streamlined, in fact it looked a lot more expensive then the other company's one, and - it was many thousands of dollars cheaper. There had to be a catch, I thought! In my spray tan booths comparison I just HAD to include the quality of the tan. Obviously I thought, that the spray tan would have to be of worse quality. I was wrong. The tan was very beautiful, and lasted just as long as the other one.The noise when spray tanning was just as bad as in the competitor's unit, but somehow it did not seem so bad in a clear booth (or maybe having experienced it before, I did not get so startled as before). Needless to say, I went with MagicTan booth, and when I had my salon, I was VERY happy with my choice the whole time. But this is not where the story ends. Recently, MagicTan unveiled it's new generation booth. I was very interested to see how spray tan booth comparison would work now, because one of the competitors also came up with a new generation booth.
How different is the competition's new booth to its predecessor? Not very much. There only minor changes called by different names. Very disappointing. But lets now have a look at MagicTan’s new VersaSpa!
This little booth IS totally revolutionary.First thing that you notice, is that it has no door! How is it possible?
Well, the door is not necessary because the machine does not produce huge amounts of mist. The company used totally different tanning solution delivery, which makes mist particles much, much smaller (a bit like a water saving shower rose). The machine does not have an air compressor, so the noise is not as bad as in it's predecessor. There are no clouds of mist in the booth because any excess is immediately sucked out by the exhaust. It is so amazingly efficient that you can breathe freely in the unit. Clients can choose to spray only face or legs by entering their height on a special LCD keypad before they enter the booth. Unbelievably VersaSpa not only spray tans the client, but also dries them at the end. (When I had my own salon, I remember endless washing of towels, which cost me a lot of time and money. No more washing!) And there is more! With VersaSpa you don’t only have a spray tan booth, but also a beauty spa. The booth can deliver additional beauty treatments like super moisturizing, deep hydrating and PH balancing full body treatment and/or anti aging and firming treatment. How wonderful is this? It’s like having an additional beauty therapist. Now, for the really important question: in this spray tan booths comparison how does the price of the competitor's product compare to MagicTan?Last time I looked, MagicTan’s VersaSpa was lots cheaper than the spray tan booth of the competition.I rest my case. That is my personal spray tan booths comparison and my own opinion. Before you decide on a purchase of any equipment, I urge you to do your own spray tan booths comparison and choose the best one for you.
If you would like to find out about MagicTan's VersaSpa, their new spray tan solution (which is also totally revolutionary) or their other Spray tan machines (second hand booths or mobile airbrush unit), just drop James (who is a CEO of MagicTan Australia) a line in the form below and he will get back to you. Here is a picture of James with a great spray tan. I tried to get him to take a photo of himself in the nude getting spray tanned in a VersaSpa, but he would have none of it (LOL). If you are not in Australia, James will pass your inquiry to an appropriate person in your home country. My plea to you is, if you DO NOT receive a reply within couple of days, please drop me a line through a "Contact us" page, and I will chase it up for you.I know that James provides excellent customer service, but I don't know much about other countries'.
