Spray tan blotchy, will it disappear when I wash it off?

Question: I got a spray tan a couple of hours ago and my chest is really patchy from when i put on clothes and my seatbelt. Will it all be the same colour when i wash it off?

Answer: I don't know, because it depends on the time that you put your clothes and seat belt on.
Usually the tan needs about 1 hour to set properly and after that it is not so easy to rub off.


If your clothes were tight and you put them on pretty much as soon as the tan was dry, then possibly you rubbed it off before the tan had a chance to "set". The same with the seat belt.

However, some rubbing off occurs even with clothes that are not tight, and that usually is the bronzer coming off, and the tan underneath will be intact.
