Spray tan and tattoos

Question: If you had a spray tan and then got a tattoo would the tattoo be affected?

Answer: I would not do it, not so much for the reason of getting a tan discolored with the spray tanning solution, but because you want to get the tattoo artist the best chance to get the tatoo as good as they can. It is the same as with painting. When you paint on a brown canvas,you choose different color paints, and you do not have to worry so much about edges being sharp. When you paint on white canvas you have to take extra care since any mistake will be very obvious.

Since tattoos are pretty much for life, I would want to make sure that there is no chance even for small errors.
