Vaginal burning after spray tanning.
by: Anonymous

Hey, um, I had a spray tan done yesterday due to a family gathering tomorrow however, I've just had a shower to wash it off but my lady place is burning and I was just wondering if that was normal?

No, it is not normal, it should not happen unless you have some allergic reaction to the solution. It is recommended to always wear a thong, also goggles, nose plugs and keeping your mouth shut during spray tanning as you do not want to expose those sensitive areas to the spray tanning solution and fumes as they absorb it a lot faster than the rest of the skin which is covered in a dead skin layer.

Will my tan come all the way off if I shower

Will my tan come all the way off if I shower

Answer:The bronzer will wash off with the first shower and it might look like you are losing your tan, but that is not true.
The left over tan will be more natural looking. If you want to keep it for a long time have short, cool showers because warm water will soften the skin and make the tan rub off easier.

Deadly spray tan?
by: Anonymous

I had my spray tan done yesterday and I haven't showed until now but I only washed my hands and feel as I was scared the tan might wash off, my friend says that it can cause an infection and die?, is that true?

Answer: As far as I know, nobody has ever died because of a spray tan. You would have to get a pretty severe allergic reaction for that to happen, and if you have not had any reaction till now, I would say that you are pretty safe :-)

fake bake!~
by: jen

hi; i love the airbrush fake bake spray tan but this is really odd i never experienced this with any other self tanner(at home and at salon); i apply it at night so it gives more time to soak in and dry etc and next morning after i shower, i am totally back to my pale color! the whole tan just completely washed/came off why is that???? i thought it supposed to last a week or couple days at least; this isn't some one day wash off self tanner whats going on
yes i am doin everything right; exfoliated, no lotions etc prior tanning etc

Boshena's comment: It could be a stale product or it might have been exposed to higher temperatures. DHA has a use by date and also goes off if it gets too hot.

I have also seen my regular clients get NO tan after spray tanning session. It has something to do with your skin. Try it once more, and if the same thing happens, something is not right with the product. If however, you get a tan second time around, then your skin just went through some weird stage.

showering after spray tanning
by: Anonymous

I always wait to shower til the next morning. It seems to do better the longer u wait to shower. It also seems like the tan still seems 2 get darker after the 6hr waitin period..maybe its just me but it seems like it does

Boshena's comment: A lot of spray tanning solutions these days contain Erythrulose which takes longer to develop (up to 48 hours). That is why your tan on the second day can be better than on the first day after spray tanning.

However, after 5-6 hours the skin already has absorbed it and the tan will develop no matter if you shower or not.

All Natural.<3
by: NoProblamo.(:

Tou can dry shave and have no problems if it's been 24 hours. I just did. The only problems I had were a little but of the tanning spray came off in my razor. But it actually blended it.

Boshena's comment: That is why it is actually better to shave before spray tanning rather than after it - so you don't lose any color. However, sometimes you just cannot avoid it and that is where dry shaving is good.
