Question: I just got a spray tan done today. I showered went in for 2 mins and rinsed a bit of the tan off after 7 hours. I am going out tomorrow and need to shower is it okay if i do?

Answer: Your tan is now pretty much set, so quick, cool showers are OK for the duration of your tan.

hi; i love the airbrush fake bake spray tan but this is really odd i never experienced this with any other self tanner(at home and at salon); i apply it at night so it gives more time to soak in and dry etc and next morning after i shower, i am totally back to my pale color! the whole tan just completely washed/came off why is that???? i thought it supposed to last a week or couple days at least; this isn't some one day wash off self tanner whats going on
yes i am doin everything right; exfoliated, no lotions etc prior tanning etc

Boshena's comment: It could be a stale product or it might have been exposed to higher temperatures. DHA has a use by date and also goes off if it gets too hot.

I have also seen my regular clients get NO tan after spray tanning session. It has something to do with your skin. Try it once more, and if the same thing happens, something is not right with the product. If however, you get a tan second time around, then your skin just went through some weird stage.

i went in the shower the next morning and noticed that my legs are crumbleing of the spray tan and there are whit bloches :/ what am i sopost to do now ?

Boshena's comment: Go back to the salon where you got your spray tan and ask them to fix it.

I always wait to shower til the next morning. It seems to do better the longer u wait to shower. It also seems like the tan still seems 2 get darker after the 6hr waitin period..maybe its just me but it seems like it does

Boshena's comment: A lot of spray tanning solutions these days contain Erythrulose which takes longer to develop (up to 48 hours). That is why your tan on the second day can be better than on the first day after spray tanning.

However, after 5-6 hours the skin already has absorbed it and the tan will develop no matter if you shower or not.
