Sensitvie skin and spray tan

by Leslie

Question:I have really really sensitive skin. I don't like tanning in the sun or tanning beds because it makes me itch and i was wondering if spray tanning would itch?

Answer: Spray tanning solution is just like any other cosmetic. Your skin can tolerate some cosmetics, but not others.

The same with tanning solutions. Some might be fine with your skin, others might not. Unless of course you would be allergic to DHA, which is in all the solutions, and then you are basically stuffed - cannot use any of them.

I would suggest that you go to a tanning salon where you are planning to have your spray tan and ask them to spray a little on the inside of your wrist or on the back of your knee. Those are sensitive spots. If nothing happens, you can take the plunge, but if you would have a reaction than maybe you should try another solution, or just use Safe Tan which is usually OK even with the most sensitive skins.
