pumice stone to remove spray tan

by lorraine
(uk)

Question: What is a pumice stone?
Where can i get this?
If i can't get one whats the next best thing to remove tan from marked hands and feet?

Answer: Pumice stone of a natural or man made rock that is usually used for scraping your feet. It is quite rough, so you must be careful when you use it, so that you don not remove too much.
You can get a pumice stone in any supermarket or chemist.
If you cannot get it, a green kitchen scraper is not bad, or even a piece of brick, since it is quite porous and acts pretty much the same as the pumice stone.
Another alternative to clean up excessive spray tan is a bit of household bleach. Be careful with it as if you accidentally splash it on another part of the body, it will leave white marks.

DONT USE A PUMIS STONE
by: Anonymous

i used a pumis stone and my legs for all scratched up and stung me for a few days after...it left red marks that were not attractive...i found that using a kitchen sponge with a soft side and rough side work best

Boshena's comment: I would only use pumice stone on my feet and palms of my hands otherwise you are right, it is too rough.
