MOISTURIZER BEFORE SPRAY TANNING, TRUE OR FALSE?

QUESTIONI WAS TAUGHT TO NOT HAVE ANY LOTION OR MOISTURIZER ON BEFORE YOU SPRAY TAN, BUT I KEEP SEEING THAT YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO MOISTURIZE BEFORE. WHAT'S TRUE?

ANSWER: I WAS ALSO TAUGHT NOT TO PUT ANY MOISTURIZER ON, ESPECIALLY THAT YOU PUT MOISTURIZER ONTO AREAS THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO TAN AS MUCH LIKE KNEES AND PALMS OF YOUR HANDS JUST BEFORE YOU HOP INTO THE BOOTH FOR A SPRAY TAN.

I THINK YOU CAN USE A MOISTURIZER AS LONG AS IT IS WATER BASED. ANY OIL BASED ONE WILL MAKE THE SKIN LESS PERMEABLE TO THE SOLUTION AND CONSEQUENTLY MAKE YOU TAN LESS AND POSSIBLY IN PATCHES.

AS FAR AS I KNOW EVERYBODY IS IN AN AGREEMENT THAT BEFORE SPRAY TANNING YOU SHOULD EXFOLIATE WITH PRODUCTS THAT ARE ESPECIALLY MADE FOR SPRAY TANNING INDUSTRY AND THOSE DO NOT CONTAIN ANY OIL, SO I IMAGINE THAT THE SAME IDEA WOULD APPLY TO MOISTURIZERS.
