How Long does it take for a spray tan to dry?

by Sherry

Question: I heard someone say that after you get spray tanned, it rubs off easy, is this true? How long does it take to dry?

Answer: Yes, that is true that it takes about 1 hour for a spray tan to set. During that first hour it is very easy for a tan to get rubbed off that is why it is recommended that you wear dark, loose clothing and open shoes for that period at least.
Once the spray tan is set, you still should not shower or get wet for at least another 5-7 hours, but the tan has pretty much developed already, so you can relax samewhat.

ok not true it takes liqke 10 minutes

OK, it will be dry to touch in 10 minutes, but that is only the first part of it. At that stage it is only sitting on top of your skin. Over the next few hours it will actually react with the dead skin cells to form your tan.
