How hard should you press when "toweling off spray tan?" Would pressing too hard cause streakiness?

Question: When wiping the excess tan off after you get out of the booth, does this remove the excess bronzer or the actual tan itself (that develops in 5 hours)?

Answer: When wiping your skin after booth spray tan, you are wiping off the excess solution only.
So, the idea is not to wipe as if you are rubbing the tan in but rather in a circular motion and lightly as if you are just wiping the excess off while spreading it evenly on your skin.

If you press too hard you can actually take too much off as it takes about 1 hour for the tan to "set" properly (and about 5-12 hours to develop fully).
