how do I get spray tan off my nails?

Question: I didn't know (wasn't told by my salon) to paint my nails to protect them from the spray and they're now orange/brown. I've just got a date for a hysterectomy in 2 wks time and I'm afraid the anaesthetist won't be happy if they can[t see the natural colour of my nails (they make you remove all polish before anaesthetic). Help!

Answer: I am afraid that there is not that much you can do. Bleaching your nails will have some limited effect, but really, you will just have to wait until they grow out.

Usually salons make you put some barrier cream on your nails before your spray tan to avoid that effect, but obviously it has not happened in your case.

Spray tan affects dead skin cells on your body, and there is nothing deader than you nails, so it just shows how well the solution did it's job. Unfortunately not really where you wanted it...
