fake nails and spray tan

Question: if you get your nails done then get a spray on tan will it hurt them?

Answer: No, nail polish acts as a barrier to spray tan, although once I had a customer that had gel nails done just before she came for a spray tan, and that had an effect on her nails.
It did not have much to do with the solution, but mainly from her using the towel and doing things with her hands when the nails were not properly hardened yet.
I would suggest to make sure that the nail polish is well hardened before doing spray tan.
