Are toes and finger nails covered during spray tanning process?

by AB
(NJ)

Question: What's done to not have your toes and finger nails colored?

Is some type of cream or gel put on the nails before the tanning process starts? Or is the tanning product sprayed on the nails and simply wiped off after the process is completed.

Answer: Nails are very badly effected by spray tanning solution. They turn brown. That is why most tanning salons make you apply barrier cream or vaseline on them before your spray tan.

Nail polish also acts very well in protecting your nails, and I like to apply clear nail polish not only on the top of my nails, but also underneeth them. I also fill in all the grooves around my nails with nail polish and even extend it over my cuticles as they seem to go quite brown as well.
